The Skite Sainte Foy is an orthodox monastery depending on the ecumenical patriarchy. You will find inside its walls a Celtic cupule, vestiges of a signal tower dating back to the 12th century, having a dominating view on the Vallée Longue, and a Benedictine priory dating back to the 16th century. The fully-frescoed chapel contains mosaics and stained glasses.
The monastery welcomes craftsmen and artists coming from all around the world for retreats.
The Skite has been renovated in total respect of the Cévenol tradition (roofs made of lauze (cévenol slates), beam in chestnut, walls and terraces in dry stones).
Open during afternoons, only on appointments (smart dress requested, without bare legs and shoulders)
Open during the Journées Européennes du Patrimoine or European Days of the Heritage and les Journées du Temps des Jardins i.e the Days for Garden Times
